Trances of Thought and Mountings of the Mind
This project commenced with a period of self-reflection. Undeterred by the mystery of the unexplored wilderness, the ocean offers me a sense of contrast to the small Island where I spent my youth. As a series of idealised landscapes, inspired by 19th century romanticism, this project obscures the lines between fiction and reality and is a photographic exploration into the creative powers of the subconscious and imagination.
